"Pop/rock storytelling with catchy bass riffs and a haunting female voice.... With a smattering of grunge".
Shadowed was first released on the indie rock compilation Payola 1, put out by Smashed Records in 2006. The CD sold out and is no longer available.
This driving, gritty and ominous track features scorching guitar, powerhouse drums, a lithe and striking bassline and soul-laden vocals. It won three awards on Garageband - Best Female Vocals, Best Bass and Rocking Track in Pop Rock for the week of 3 December 2007.
The song has been remastered for iTunes by Joseph Carra of Crystal Mastering in order to celebrate its release in digital format.
"Pop/rock storytelling with catchy bass riffs and a haunting female voice.... With a smattering of grunge here and there." - Mark Airlie.
"A real singer... Like a heavier Olivia Newton John. I'm getting strangely turned on. This must be magic." - Magnus Magnusson of PBS-FM.
"Some slashing guitars and a gutsy female vocalist bring back memories of Heart - and that ain't bad! A very exotic slow part adds to the song's density. Some nifty bass noodling as well. Keep up the good work." - JounceKuda from North Carolina, Garageband.
"I really like the female vocals. Great tone. Gives a dark and edgy sound. Mix of Bjork and Ednaswap. I like that." - Skerj, Garageband.
Personnel: Lead and backing vocals: Corinna Jane. Bass: Alex Steve. Guitars: Amber Elias nee Rich. Drums: Barry Mason.
Shadowed Ever get the feeling you've been Followed And it's so cold The breath of life escaping And you're nothing
Whatever your disease Whatever your needs I know a remedy
Circle Under your eyes Tight Bruises from the light Driven Haunted and hunted too, you don't Really enjoy this, do you?
Whatever you need Don't look to me Oh, I aim to please
Circles Under your eyes, tight Banded bruises from the light Oh, driven (driven) Haunted and (harried) hunted too, you don't (you don't) Really enjoy this (really enjoy this) Now do you?
Whatever you need Give it to me Hold that belief
Oh, you don't: Really enjoy this do you? Really enjoy this do you? Really enjoy this do you? Really enjoy this do you?
Really enjoy this do you?
